The correct temperature is very important for reptiles. Many reptiles come from areas with different living conditions than ours, often where it is warmer than here. Reptiles are ectothermic, which means they cannot regulate their own body temperature: therefore, for almost all reptiles, it is important to provide supplemental heating in the terrarium. With these lamps from Trixie, you can easily create a so-called 'hotspot': this is the warmest spot in the terrarium where your animal will enjoy basking.
