De Groene Os Evening Primrose-Borage Oil Dog/Cat 50 ml is a supplement for dogs and cats, and is an oil containing the polyunsaturated fatty acid GLA. Both evening primrose oil and borage oil are rich in the omega-6 fatty acid linoleic acid. While linoleic acid is an essential fatty acid, it is often present in excess in feed. Additional borage oil improves the balance between GLA and linoleic acid.

Evening primrose-borage oil is rich in the polyunsaturated fatty acids GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) and LA (linoleic acid). GLA is important for, among other things, mucous membranes, skin, and hormones. Linoleic acid is found in several vegetable oils, but evening primrose-borage oil is one of the few oils that also contains a high concentration of GLA.

This supplement can be a good idea if the animal could use support for healthy skin, to support a normal musculoskeletal system, and in female animals to support hormone balance.
